The RBC Team
David Whitley, President
David Whitley, the President and Founder of RBC Homes, was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, graduating from Old Dominion University with a degree in Engineering. He began his building career with Hudgins & Associates, a large regional builder-developer, rising to the position of Vice President of Building Operations. In 1993, he founded Resource Building Corporation, DBA as RBC Homes.
With more than 25 years of residential and commercial building experience at all stages, David is the best partner for your construction project. His portfolio includes high-end, custom homes; multi-stoy and mid-rise condos; office buildings; a church parish and recreations center; interior commercial build-outs; and extensive residential renovations.
David is also very involved in our local community. He has been a Paramedic with the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad for over thirty-five years. In addition, he serves on the Virginia Beach Board of Zoning Appeals, the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation, and Stewardship chair of the Sandbridge Community Chapel UMC.

Lead Carpenter
RBC Homes is looking for an experienced lead carpenter. On a daily basis, the lead carpenter will oversee the company’s field carpentry staff, while executing their own carpentry duties. Additional responsibilities will include: supporting the field superintendent in maintaining a clean worksite, receiving materials, preparing material take-offs and reporting on daily project completions. The ideal candidate should have residential carpentry skills in the areas of finish work, siding/trim, decks/rails, knowledge of mechanical services and general maintenance ability, problem-solving skills, customer service and initiative.
