We were challenged to satisfy the unique needs and considerations of a multi-generational family-friendly home that not just meets, but exceeds the needs of larger groups with a wide age range.

To begin, RBC Homes won Virginia Beach’s 2017 Planning Commission Design Award for Residential Development because of the progressive design of this home and two other “Cottages at Sandbridge Beach.” To showcase the beauty of both the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and Back Bay to the west, outdoor living spaces were built on the front and back of Aquatic Dreams, offering the pleasure of both sunrise and sunrise each day. The fully-enclosed backyard has glass fences at the dune line so there are unobstructed views of the beach and the boats. There is also a swimming pool, hot tub, and two-story cabana with ground floor wet bar and bathroom. The interior amenities are just as thoughtful, and each floor is expertly appointed. Aquatic Dreams features an open-concept living space with custom-designed kitchens and generous dining areas, nine bedrooms with spa-like ensuite bathrooms, a movie theater and game room. Like all RBC Homes, it is ADA compliant, combining required function with comfortable grandeur. With direct access from the bedroom to the outdoor spaces, visitors can still enjoy the amazing views from the wrap-around decks, as well as access the second floor of the cabana—all from their private entrances.
